What's an UnderMat?
UnderMats are the next step in workspace customization. UnderMats are made to fit under the clear plastic chairmats you already have in your workspace. You can pick a unique design out of our ever-growing database, or you can choose to create your own UnderMat using our state of the art customization tools. UnderMats print on heavy stock paper in the shape of a chairmat to a size of approximately 34. X 46.. This ensures a perfect fit under almost any chairmat. If you can think of it, we can do it. Make an understatement!
What.s the UnderMats charitable program?
One of UnderMats founding principles was giving back to the community. After the initial launch phase which will last until approximately January 1, 2008, UnderMats plans to donate one dollar of every mat sold to a growing list of charities of whom we are currently aligning with. UnderMats is unique in the sense that it will give its customers the ability to choose which charity they would like UnderMats to donate to. All donations from the launch phase will be split between the charities with which we are associated.
Are there any limitations to what I can put on my mat?
If you can think of it, we can put it on an UnderMat. We can turn ANY image into an UnderMat as long as it meets the criteria found on the design your own page. All customers are fully responsible for any content they upload onto the UnderMats website. Check out our User Agreement for a more detailed explanation.
Why should I buy an UnderMat?
You should buy an UnderMat if you... want to make an understatement, want to make your workspace your own, want to add a little life to your workspace, if you want to make your workspace work for you, or, if you are a human being. Buying an UnderMat will make you the coolest, most awesomest person in your office. Guaranteed.**UnderMats can not technically guarantee you will be the most popular person in the office, but it can't hurt. and if you don't want to be Mr. / Ms. Popular. well, these things are still pretty sweet.
How does an UnderMat work?
UnderMats are made to be put under the chairmats that are a staple of almost all workplaces. Once the UnderMat is put down in the desired spot, all you have to do is set your plastic chairmat on top of it, step on it, and viola! Once the chairmat spikes puncture the UnderMat, they are essentially stuck together.
How do I tell someone else about my UnderMat?
The easiest way to communicate how sweet UnderMats are is to show yours off to everyone! Immediately upon receiving your UnderMat, we recommend that you run through the halls of your office shouting wildly in excitement. However, we have found that strangely, this has led to some rather harsh consequences. Due to these unforeseen circumstances, we recommend you take our alternate route and simply tell everyone you know. without screaming!
What if I don't see any UnderMats that I want?
No problem!! If you can't find something you want, then simply use our Create Your Own UnderMat tool and upload ANY image you want! You could make an UnderMat of your kids, pets, friends, favorite animal, favorite food, favorite vacation photo, favorite sports photo.We can literally put ANYTHING on a mat!
How do I install my UnderMat?
It.s so simple, you almost don't need instructions! However in order to avoid any UnderMat installation disasters, we definitely recommend that everyone follows the installation directions found here.
What if I want to move my UnderMat once it's installed?
No problem! The easiest way to do this is to pick up the UnderMat and chairmat together, making sure that they stay together and that the spikes and UnderMat do not come undone, or 'deUnderMattificationized' as we like to call it here. You can then gently move your UnderMat and chairmat together wherever you would like.
Don't the chairmat spikes distort the UnderMat?
Actually they don't at all! The spikes are generally so small that the overall image is virtually unaffected. We.ve noticed that you don't even really see the spikes at all; your eyes seem to magically tune them out because you're in such awe of the beauty of your mat. The only possible problem that we have encountered is when very, very, very small text is used; the spikes may destroy entire words or sentences.. But we.re talking like 5 point baby ant font.
How often do you come out with new UnderMats?
